Terms of Service

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use ChipLog. You are responsible for complying with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction, including any age requirements related to gambling activities. By using the app, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.

ChipLog is a personal record-keeping tool only. It does not facilitate, enable, encourage, or promote gambling.

2. What ChipLog Does

• Personal gambling session logging and history
• Win/loss statistics and summaries
• Estimated IRS tax calculations — informational only (see Section 3)
• Casino news aggregation and AI-generated insights
• Premium features via paid subscription

ChipLog is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any casino, gambling operator, gaming commission, or gaming brand. Casino names that appear in the app are entered by users or sourced from public news feeds and are used solely for record-keeping and informational purposes.

3. No Financial or Tax Advice

All tax estimates and calculations are automated approximations based on data you enter, provided for informational purposes only:

• Tax calculations may not reflect your actual IRS tax liability
• Tax laws change frequently — figures may be out of date
• The app does not account for your full financial situation, filing status, other income, or state tax obligations
• W-2G estimates are based solely on data you manually enter and have not been verified against official casino records

Always consult a qualified tax professional or CPA before making tax-related decisions. We expressly disclaim all liability for any tax penalties, interest, underpayments, or other consequences arising from reliance on information provided by ChipLog.

4. Use at Your Own Risk

We make no representations or guarantees about:

• The accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any data, calculation, news article, or AI-generated content
• The fitness of the app for any particular purpose, including tax preparation
• The availability or uninterrupted operation of the app or its servers
• The security of data transmitted over the internet

AI-generated quotes and news insights are produced by automated systems and may contain errors or inaccuracies. They are for informational and entertainment purposes only. News content is sourced from third-party RSS feeds; we do not endorse or verify it.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, CHIPLOG IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION, OR ACCURACY OF RESULTS.

6. Limitation of Liability

This includes damages for: lost profits or data; tax penalties or fines; cost of substitute services; personal or financial losses arising from gambling activity; or unauthorized access to your data.

Our total aggregate liability for any claims shall not exceed the greater of: (a) the total subscription fees you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) USD $10.00.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain liability limitations; in such jurisdictions our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

7. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and all activity that occurs under it. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your password confidential, and notify us immediately of any suspected unauthorized access.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

8. Subscriptions and Payments

Premium features are available via monthly or annual subscription, processed through Apple's In-App Purchase system:

• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
• Your Apple ID will be charged at confirmation of purchase and at each renewal
• Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings at any time
• Refunds are handled entirely by Apple in accordance with Apple's standard refund policy — we do not process refunds directly. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com
• Free trials (if offered) convert to paid subscriptions unless cancelled before the trial ends

All payments are processed by Apple. We do not store, access, or process your payment card or banking information.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: use the app for any unlawful purpose; attempt to reverse engineer or decompile the app; interfere with or disrupt servers or networks; submit false or fraudulent information; use automated tools to scrape data; or attempt to access other users' accounts or data.

10. Intellectual Property

ChipLog, its name, logo, design, and software are owned by us and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes only.

You retain ownership of the session data you enter. By using the app, you grant us a limited license to store and process your data solely to provide the service to you.

11. Termination

You may stop using ChipLog and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access for violation of these Terms, with or without notice. Upon account deletion, your data is removed within 30 days. Termination does not entitle you to a refund of any subscription fees paid.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts located in Nevada, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via an in-app notification or by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of ChipLog after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
